The REACH Story

The Regional Equine & Agricultural Centre of Huron Inc. (REACH Huron) is a non-profit registered charity whose mission is to support the broad-based agricultural community of southwestern Ontario with a special focus on the equine sector.

REACH Huron opens its doors every day as a “motel for education”.  By this we mean that we support and encourage all learning opportunities with in-house designed curriculum, partnered institutional programming as well as by offering our state-of-the-art facilities as the perfect venue to hold any imaginable education based program or event.

The diversification of the local and regional economy is also a key interest of ourselves and our stakeholders and in our early development we have taken great strides towards accomplishing our five year goal to bring 50,000 day visits to our community and through surrounding communities annually.

With our partnership with the University of Guelph we have brought full-time post-secondary education to the former Town of Clinton.  This program alone has resulted in a 1% population increase during the program year.  This is just one small example of meeting our goals so please take a minute to navigate our website.

We could not have possibly accomplished what we have in just over one year without the tremendous support of our partners and friends.  The investment of time and funds has already shown a return for the industry, community and most importantly for each and every child or adult who has grown their knowledge because we are here.

Please stay in touch with our developments and let us know how we can play a part in improving the lives of our families and friends.

Thank you,
Richard Harding
