Contact North | Contact Nord Huron-Bluewater Online Learning Centre is located within the REACH Huron facilities.
Ontario’s education and training network, Contact North | Contact Nord, partners with Ontario's 24 public colleges, 22 public universities and 250 literacy and basic skills and training providers to deliver their online programs and courses to residents in 600 small, remote, rural, Aboriginal and Francophone communities across Ontario.
Residents are able to get a degree, diploma or certificate or upgrade their skills through online learning with personalized support in their community from the online learning centre.
There are currently 1,000 online programs and 18,000 online courses available from Ontario’s public colleges and universities. Information on the programs and courses is available by contacting Heather Huff at the online learning centre.
Popular online programs include Social Service Worker and Business Management. There are also a wide variety of basic skills training courses and trades courses that can be completed in a short period of time such as software programs, WHMIS or even Smart Serve.
The Huron-Bluewater Online Learning Centre has computers and internet access available for student use, audioconferencing, videoconferencing and webconferencing distance delivery platforms available and can invigilate student exams.
